Can we jailbreak any ATV 1st gen
just wonder if we have the ATV1 we can jailbreak and instal AVT FLASH anytime or cant with the lasted firmware?
The reason I am on the hunt for something is that my dad wants one. He wants to watch football mainly. So if I got him an ATV 1 it would work great. He doesn't need mirroring or anything flash so ATV 1 would work great?

would work even better than atv2.
I run 1080p raw blueray on my atv1 with no issues (with crystal installed).
Mirroring/Airplay works as soon you install Remote HD.
XBMC with live channels runs with no issues.
I have 3 atv1 , and bought upgrade 3 atv2. Sold all atv2 as it is not better .
Now bought 3 atv3, waiting for miracle.... still have atv1
So .... it will work just gr8!

But i have a problem now...the ATV 1st gen i bought its installed Crystalbuntu that i dont like it cause i cant get the main apple menu to access wifi...when it boot its automatic bring to xbmc...so how can i reset to factory and use ATVFLASH please help

crystalbuntu is linux software .... Crystal HD is broadcom's hardware.
So I suspect you have linux version software installed and set to boot to xbmc not to Frontrow.
If you have Crystal HD card installed , so it goes to slot instead of wifi, that means you loose wireless for 1080p.
